I am very excited to announce that the documentary feature film InHospitable premieres on November 13th at the DOC NYC film festival!
The film explores how big hospital systems are getting bigger and bigger, how their growth can hurt patients and communities, and how people and community groups can work together to fight back – and win.
InHospitable features the stories of an incredible group of patients who, working together with PHAN and other groups, spoke out about the harm that UPMC was causing in Western PA. The film is a powerful testament to the fact that we can and should hold large hospital systems accountable to the communities they serve.
